Special Inspector

Clair Company has immediate full time and/or part time openings for certified Special Inspectors.  Assignments for these positions will be for multiple large projects located in either the Portland Metro area or the Salem, Corvallis, Eugene Oregon area.

The salary range for these positions depends on certifications and experience.  Clair provides full benefits for full time positions, including health & dental insurance coverage, health care and dependent care spending accounts (Section 125), SIMPLE IRA employer match, and holiday and personal leave pay. Clair also provides continued education and certification cost assistance.

To be considered for these positions an applicant must possess one or more of the following ICC certifications:

• Reinforced Concrete (with current ACI)
• Structural Masonry
• Prestressed Concrete
• Structural Steel and Bolting
• Structural Welding
• Spray-Applied Fireproofing
• Soils

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and plans
• Thorough knowledge of construction practices, materials and techniques
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Good organizational skills
• Valid drivers’ license and driving record that meets the standards set by the Clair, and reliable transportation
• Ability to perform tasks required of this position, such as, climb ladders and scaffolding, and negotiate uneven and irregular ground surfaces
• Ability to pass drug test
• Ability to pass background check
