ABOUT THE JOB
Inspects residential buildings and plans for compliance with the County building, mechanical, and zoning codes.


WORK SCHEDULE
Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from high school or successful completion of the equivalent GED. Any equivalent combination of experience, education and training which ensures the ability to perform the work may substitute for the above.


NECESSARY SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
*Must possess the following Oregon Certificates: Oregon Inspector Certification (OIC), Residential Inspector Certification (CAS), Residential Plans Examiner Certification (CAX), Residential Plumbing Inspector (CAP) and A Level Structural Inspector (SIA) at time of hire.
*Preference given to those who also possess State of Oregon Certificates for A Level Electrical Inspector, A level Mechanical Inspector (MIA) or A Level Plumbing Inspector.
*Must have the ability to obtain A Level Plans Examiner (PEA) Certification within 12 months of hire.
*Possession of valid Oregon driver's license at time of appointment.
