Today Clatsop County is one of nine Home Rule counties in Oregon. Five non-partisan elected Commissioners set policy and appoint a full-time County Manager, who is responsible for daily operations. County services are provided through seven divisions: County Administration (County Manager), Assessment and Taxation, Budget and Finance, County Clerk, Juvenile, Public Health, Public Works, Community Development, and the District Attorney, and Sheriff’s Offices. The county also administers a road district, a rural law enforcement district, and a local sewer district. The Facilities Department reports to the county administration division.
As Electrical Inspector, you will enforce the National Electrical Code and the applicable state code through inspection of various types of buildings; communicate code requirements to the public, contractors and local officials; and investigate cases of non-compliance and report appropriately.
Additional Certifications: Oregon Inspector Certification, Residential Structural Inspector, Residential Plumbing Inspector, Residential Plans Examiner, or a combination of any other Oregon Code Certifications and/or ICC Certifications.
