Residential Inspector/Plan Reviewer

Put your construction and code expertise to work where it matters most—out in the field. The City of Medford is seeking a detail-oriented Residential Inspector to join our Building Safety team. You’ll perform on-site inspections, ensure code compliance, and help maintain safe, high-quality construction across our growing community.

If you’ve got experience in the trades or inspections, knowledge of Oregon Residential Codes, and a problem-solving mindset—we want to hear from you!

Required Education and Experience:

• Graduation from high school or GED equivalent; and
• Three (3) years of experience in inspection or the construction trades with working knowledge of the Oregon Residential Codes; and
• Possession of at least one of the following certifications by hire:
  • ICC Residential Building Inspector Certification (B1)
  • Oregon Residential Structural/Mechanical Inspector (CAS); and
• Obtainment of the following certifications within one year of hire:
  • Residential Plans Examiner (CAX)
  • Residential Plumbing Inspector (CAP)

Available Schedule:

• Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
