Building Inspector I or II

This position works in the Building Division of the Planning and Building Department and provides information to the public about State of Oregon adopted codes, permit applications, inspection processes and procedures. Performs a variety of routine and complex technical work in building and code inspection to ensure that the Building, Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire and other related codes and standards as adopted by the State of Oregon are met for new construction. Acts as plans examiner for all projects as assigned. This position is AFSCME represented and works under the general supervision of the Building Official.
