Building Inspector II/Plans Examiner

The City of Tualatin is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Building Inspector / Plans Examiner II to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing building plans, inspecting construction sites, ensuring compliance with building codes, ordinances, and regulations, and ensuring the safety and structural integrity of buildings and structures. This role requires a high level of technical knowledge, an eye for detail, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a complete understanding of regulatory frameworks and will be committed to ensuring projects meet safety and structural integrity standards to ensure the safety and trust of the community.

The Building Division operates as a collaborative team led by the Building Official. Building Inspectors play a critical role in guiding the success of Tualatin's development by providing professional project inspections and plan reviews. They are often seen as the face of the City and may be the only experience our customers have with City staff.
