NWCP is currently seeking a Commercial Plans Examiner with a minimum of 6 years experience and substantial skills in remote plan review serving our teams in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming and starting in 2025 Montana.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex information to other staff as well as to contractors and to the public. They will be a team player, work closely with those on the inspection team, and follow Building Services procedures in and out of the office. They will also be able to self-manage time, and work with new technology and software that is required to complete the plan review duties. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education and Experience
  • Six (6) years experience as a commercial plans examiner.
  • Experience with Electronic Plan Review and Accella or Municity Software
  • or A degree in Building Inspection Technology and 3 years expereince as a commercial plans examiner. 
  • Ability to obtain  the Oregon SRI license within 30 days of hire. 

 

 

Additional Requirements
  • Must possess a driver's license valid in the State of Oregon and have an acceptable driving record per NWCP policies. 
  • Possession of the required certifications per The State of Oregon based on the specialty area (Electrical)
    • Oregon Commercial Plans Examiner/ ICC Commercial Plans Examiner
    • Oregon or ICC Fire Plans Examiner 
    • Oregon Inspector Certification
    • DESIRED: Residential Inspector, Residential Plumbing Inspector, Residential Mechanical Inspector. 

Salary will be determined by total experience and number of certifications.
