Plans Examiner II

Join our Oregon Team in our Eugene Office, Multiple Positions Open full time, part time,  for an experienced Certified commercial plans examiner. 

Typical Duties - Duties include, but are not limited to the following

• Provides technical interpretation of code issues, requirements and recommends solutions to code issues. 
• Reads and interprets the state building code, both orally and in writing.
• Reviews building construction plans, drawings, and specifications for compliance with the state building code. 
• Perform inspections of structures and installations for compliance with the applicable codes.
• Drives to onsite locations when directed by the Building Official.
• Operates daily computer terminal, calculator, copier, FAX machine, telephone, two-way radio, and cell phones.
• Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
• May participate in basic incident command training and drills to maintain proficiency in supporting team activities, including carrying out field work in connection with team field operations. May be assigned clerical/support, incident liaison, or other duties at any location within Oregon. 

Requirements for the Position

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

1. Minium Three years certified plan review experience. 
2. Five years of experience in the construction trades; OR
3. Associate degree in related field and three years of experience in the construction trades; OR
4. Any satisfactory combination of work, education, training, or experience relevant to the position
